I got a new tank off Craigslist, it's a 55 gallon and I noticed the trim is cracked in the corner. Is this an issue?20200429_092922.jpg

Do you recommend replacing both of them? Only the bottom is damaged. They seem to go for $15 each and I only paid 40 for the tank so I'm wondering if it's even worth it considering I can get a 55 gallon for $55 from Petco if I wait. Also, this tank is made of tempered glass, and I've never had one like that. Other than not being able to drill it is there any disadvantage to it?

Just gonna jump in here because I was about to ask about the same exact problem.

I know Epoxy is used frequently to reseal trim cracks if not replacing the entire frame.

I'm wondering if using epoxy to reseal the corner and then maybe adding extra stability by attaching some sort of corner bracket such as this:

to create extra stability in the corner could be a suitable solution?
