Hey everyone! Another infamous pleco ID thread ?

So the guy I bought this pleco from called it a red fin cactus pleco. It's undeniably a cactus pleco, but I don't find the fins very red. The previous owner said it's because it's female. Regardless, I love the fish it looks spectacular.

Anyone able to confirm if it's an L024?

Thanks in advance!

Beautiful pleco!! It looks to be some sort of cactus pleco. It looks like an L234. I have an L024 and they are much more red in color especially at the tips of their fins. If this is truly an L234, your lookin at some serious $$$$$. Good luck!

I think you all have a point, it looks more like an L234 vs L24. Are L234 harder to find? The size description and spots make a lot more sense too.

No not a L024. But you are correct that it is a type of cactus pleco. You either have Pseudacanthicus Spinosus L096/L160, or Pseudacanthicus Cf. Spinosus L375. Both come from the same waters as L024.
