Is this Co2 setup any good?

I don't like that system at all. I had nothing but trouble, it would be ok for a very small setup, but nothing over 30 gallons.
 
That is over-priced, and I do not recommend buying much of anything from aquarium plants. I have had a some bad experiences with them. You can get a milwaukee SMS122 controller, with milwaukee reg/solenoid/pin valve/bubble counter combo set for 161.50 on ebay. I have seen them numerous times, but they are currently unlisted. 2.5 lb bottle is fine if you are ok with refilling it every month, if not every 2 weeks. I personally would do at least a 10 lb bottle, and on my 135 I use a 20 lb.
 
2.5 lbs will last 3-4 months, if it only last 1 month you have a leak, 5lbs will last 7 months 3bps.

The best of the best regulator is much better than Milwaukee and JBJ thats why its too expensive. But i still recommend the JBJ.
 
JBJ are great, but they are costly. THe BPS depends on the person. Personally I do ~10 bps, but I like having a high growth rate.
