Is this container too big for a DIY wet/dry?

I bought a stackable Drawer Organizer from walmart today to build a diy sump.

Question is, is this container(white) too big? Its gonna sit inside the 35g blue Sterlite container

as long as you can fit your pump in there why would it be to small?

tank is a standard 135gallon. the stand is about 3ft tall i think

No such thing as too big, unless it won't fit under your tank.

what media do you plan to use? it should be fine for the most part. I did the same thing for my 45gx4 setup

You may not be able to use the bottom drawer for media, depending on your water level in the sump, but I cant imagine any other issues...

I'm thinking of building a similar sump but was told some of the plastic container may release toxic into water?? and needs to be food grade to be safe...
any specific brand and line of container would be good?

Sure he could. It wont be as effective but its better than leaving it empty
