Hi, I set my new 72 gal tank up 5 days ago and just added some bio media 2 days ago. Just for fun I checked the water. So is this really ready to go? Sry for bad pics but it should be ammonia-0 nitrate-10 nitrite-0

Yes, but I added a 2"x2" pc if sponge 2 days ago and the bio wheel 4 hours ago. It just seems too easy...Is the biomedia from a cycled filter?
I will say you got a good jump start would suggest keep testing parameters for a couple of weeks.Yes, but I added a 2"x2" pc if sponge 2 days ago and the bio wheel 4 hours ago. It just seems too easy...

Is this cycled already?
No. But maybe I should put something in tomorrow if it tests the same?? Ive always just gone by feel but ive started using tests in the last 6 months so I'm not confident in my assumptions yet. Feel like I'm green againI will say you got a good jump start would suggest keep testing parameters for a couple of weeks.
Any fish in the aquarium?
Ok and care to share? I'm honestly trying to learn the complexities of fish keeping. Ive always kept aquariums with healthy fish and plants but I've never used any tests. It has me second guessing myself
Ok that I get. But adding a small school of tetras to begin with and slowly increasing my stock until I've emptied the smaller tank. That could work? You may have a zero reading until you start bio loading the tank. The bit of sponge you added will seed the beneficial bacteria, but the tank is certainly not cycled.
Start populating very slowly.
