Where the gators are
Alright so I live in Sebring Florida. About an hour and a half south of Orlando. I'm diggin a pond for my Redtailed Catfish. The average low in winter is about 50 degrees but we've had as low as 19. The pond is gonna be 4 feet at the deepest. Should this be deep enough to keep him alive through the winter or am I goin to need heating for the pond?

What if i put a clear plastic tarp over it or even black. to create a greenhouse effect that would old in heat.

you might try a solar cover for a pool. You can check with your local pool place . It should warm up eneugh during the day.
