Is this Driftwood cool?

I haven't lived here long so I don't know the trees around here, but I found this dried up piece that really caught my eye. Any ideas on if it's safe?

Correct, the east side. I actually found this along the yellowstone river in town.
 
YES that looks awesome..

if u trip a bit of the wood to make it look natural rather than cut.. it will be great..

I wish i had something like that for my 150gallon! :headbang2
 
So I take it it's a safe wood? lol. There was plenty of these down there... I didn't bring anything to cut with and this one happen to be loose...

I'll post some pics of the rocks I found today once they're clean as well.. They're pretty cool. There's only one I suspect would be dangerous.
I can't wait to do a malawi tank though because there's immense sandstone/limestone composite here and the stratification on it is just amazing!
 
I might have a little trouble boiling it, so i'm figuring out how to break it down right now...

you can bake rocks to sterilize them
