Depends on media, you can have a powerhead turn the tank over that much, but no media.

There is alot more to filtration then just turnover, need to consider media, cleaning schedule along with stock.

what are you putting in it?
500 is better then 850 lol
250-500 should be good
at some point your just over filtering is all
also,im guessing this is a sump setup?
what type of overflow?
can it handle 500?
