Is this fish male or female?

I'm having trouble venting my new juvi fh because of its size (only about 2") and would like your help in determining whether it's male or female.

It doesn't show any black in the dorsal and the vent looks to be the same size as the anus. That's about as much as I can tell at the moment. Here is the vent picture of the fish in question.

a clearer picture would be better but looks like female to me.
