Is this Freshwater Safe?

At one point it says...

"...water trickles through a bag of marine-grade activated carbon..."



I was going to have it as either the sole filtration unit or doubled up with an AC mini on a 10g. If it runs well itll be on all my other tanks as just a surface skimmer, but thats only if its works well and is FW safe. ^^

Yes it's safe.
When they say "marine grade" they are trying to make you think it's made with better stuff. Usually to help justify a higher price.

keep in mind, if it killed fish, they wouldn't sell it...i just love marketing. Sellers think consumers are sooooo stupid. compare that product with a similar one for freshwater and you'll agree. PRIME EXAMPLE: Lint rollers are more expensive in the pet department labeled "pet hair remover" than they are in the clothing section labeled "lint remover". ya gotta love comsumer psychology.
