hi guys, as posted in a previous thread, I finally got a delhezi bichir! the thing is, he has a greedy and a absolute monster appetite. Yesterday, i decides to feed my 4 inch delhezi and my albino bichirs some shrimp after feeding them brine shrimp and pellets for a long time. i guess i didn't cut my shrimp small enough. My experienced abino bichir was smart enough to avoid the large peices of shrimp that i threw in there. My anxious delhezi just gulped down a massize chunk of shrimp down with any hesitation (about 1 tenth of the whole shrimp) . it took him a LONG whi;e for him to swallow down his puny gullet. I thought he was gonna choke because the shrimp was "stuck" in his throat. I went to bed with a grim expression. The next morning, i saw him just fine- except that his stomach was grotesqly huge! will his stomach haddle all the food??? The next thing i know it, My del is chumping down another large chunk of shrimp that was left over from last night! WTF!!!! do bichirs know when to stop! two large(compared to the bichir) in my del's stomach, can he handle it??? Should I stop feeding him for a while. Need help!

I have a delhezi and an ornate. They are currently both the same size. The delhezi eat sooooo much. Untill his belly looks like its going to burst. Never burst. I know they can choke on things that are too big. So stay away from big chunks of shrimp. Make shure you cut that stuff up. Just dont feed him till the belly goes down a little. If he eats untill his stomach is packed let him. My ornate is going to eventualy grow much bigger than him but does not over eat. I wouldnt worry now. Just make sure you cut the food up in small bites.

my mistakes guys. The thing is, i'm not planning to feed my del for at least for another day. How do i feed my albino bichir? I feed him either small sinking pellet bits, brine shrimp or large shrimp (cut in smaller pieces). if my albino or del is hungrey, will they attack each other? whens the nxt time I should feed my del??
