Is this hith?

I noticed over the past couple days the one of my oscars has what seems to be a hole on his head. I was wondering what you guys think, any info helps, thanks. Im not able to check parameters until tomorrow but last time I checked it was 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, and looked like 20-40 ppm nitrate but more towards the 20 ppm color. I do 30% water changes every week since I got them about a year and a half ago

Tbh hard to tell but I suggest atleast 50% wc's. The Oscar could have possibly ran into that driftwood. Oscar looks good other than that spot.

it seems like they might be trying to spawn again so maybe it did hit something but the way the hole looks has me a little worried. tlindsey do you know how fast acting hith is? does it take a long time for the holes to develop or is it a few days or weeks?

Tbh can't give a time but will help to keep Nitrates at the lowest level. HITH looks like small craters on the head area once it starts spreading.

Hard to tell but if you think I’d do a w/c and add some salt
I had a similar spot on my flowerhorns head devolve did what I’m telling you and it healed up
