So this morning I woke up and I was really tired and I went into the bathroom and opened the toilet lid
and there was a Northern Snakehead?? I couldnt believe my eyes, I thought maybe I was just tired and hallucinating so I went to get some caffeine in me
and when I came back, it was still there. So while deciding what to do with it, I tried to just go about my business, so I took a squat on the bowl and then it bit my rear end and I had to go to the hospital. I didnt wanna tell them I had a Snakehead, because I am afraid theyll confiscate him and Ill go to jail or something so I told them it was a dog. They gave me some stitches and whatever and sent me on my way. So anyway, what Im wondering is
can I keep it? I mean, I didnt collect it, breed it, smuggle it, OR buy it. So technically I dont think I broke any laws
right?
Im in the car on the way back from the hospital, when it bit me, I bled everywhere, and I couldnt figure out wether to flush the blood and risk flushing the fish, or leave them both in there, so I left them. Will swimming around in my blood make it want more? I really dont wanna get bitten again
Also, I dont have a tank and I know they breathe air but I dont wanna carry it too long and stress it out, so can I just scoop it out and transfer it to the bathtub and keep him there? I figure I can feed him mice and cockroaches that I find running around my house and maybe some chicken occasionally.
What to you guys think? Ill post up some pictures in a bit.
