is this lighting fixture good?

on craigslist someone has this fixture posted for $50. im looking for something that i can put actinic and/or 50/50's and either 10 or 20,000K bulbs in. i dont know if its T5 or standard T8. i have a FOWLR no intention of doing corals but want all the natural growth possible.

depends on what kind of corals your wanted to keep. I think zoas and mushrooms will be fine under those. I'd shoot for T5's if i were you.

i have puffers so i have no intention of doing corals. MAYBE trying a cheap/lower lighting requirement anenome for my clownfish but thats only to try and see if my puffer doesnt bite at it. i definitely dont intend on a reef tank though.

That is a great price and would be just fine for your purpose. As RyanP said it is PC bulbs. Not the best or most efficient, but if you can get it for $50 it is definetely worth it for the 48" fixture especially if bulbs are included. Keep in mind if bulbs are not included it will cost more to buy the 4 bulbs than it did for the fixture.
