i moved my oscar almost 2 weeks ago from a 120 gallon tank to a 55 gallon hes about 6-7 inches but ever since i moved him back to his originally tank he stays hidden and barely eats only when hes really hungry i guess
his tank mates are 3 Erpetoichthys calabaricus and 1 polyterus endelchilde those four will remain in this tank for another month untill they go to my brother's tank as soon as it is ready
anywhone an idea what's wrong with this oscar mayby the lack of other fish that are swimming ?

Give him a few weeks he is not in a position of dominance as he is new again to the tank since you've moved him it will take a few weeks so he can establish dominance again it's totally normal trust me

moving oscars aint a good idea...they seem emotionaLLY sensitive to where they live, they seem to get depressed. they r like dogs more then any other fish i know of

this is very true

it seems that way he now eats when i drop the food in front of him the lazy bastard :D but the moment i look in his direction he will hide behind his rock so apparantly he doesn't like the one who moved him from his big ass mansion to a normal house :D the last time i moved him about 6 month ago he only needed 2 days to adapt to his new home
and indeed there just like hungry dogs love these fish when there acting normal :D
