Is This Normal BGK Behavior?

I recently bought a BGK around 7 inches and I noticed that it constantly opens its mouth.. is this normal?
I know it's not gasping for air cause my tank is fairly aerated..
Please advise..

Maybe lower the temp down a bit. Also a little salt wont hurt.

Couldnt salt hurt it since iut is a scaleless fish? What size is your tank? What are its tankmates?

They do open their mouth quite a bit.. but how often is too much.. indicating a problem.. does he eat well.. is he active otherwise.. some seem to practice catching the imaginary fish.. or maybe his pellet food is too large and it remains in his mouth long after the feeding..stuck until it dissolves.. try different food and see if it continues.. other wise.. he is probably fine.. as long as he is not showing any other issues... are their any threatening tankmates..?
