Is this normal coloration or septicaemia?

I received this fish in the mail on Tuesday via overnight shipping. He/she was shipped together in the same bag with 4 others. I’m not sure if the slight redness in the rays his/her tail is normal or septicaemia or ammonia burn? He/she is swimming normally and eating normally. He/she did arrive with a missing ventral fin and one of his/her nostrils was red at the tip and the mouth area was also a bit red but they since healed up. No redness elsewhere just the rays of the tail. Appreciate your thoughts. Thank you.

Also, how do you find out whether a bichir has internal parasites? Some of them arrived a bit skinny.

I have a Palmas that exhibits the same thing . Some redness around the tail. Otherwise, it's active and is healthy. I've had the fish for about a year now, and it doesn't appear to be getting worse, or causing discomfort, so I assume it just "is". Just keep an eye on it to make sure it's not progressing in any way.

As long as they are eating readily and active, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just make sure they are getting a healthy nutritious diet, and they should start ti fill out. I've gotten fish in the past, that where shockingly emaciated, and they turned out fine at the end of the day with a little TLC.

It looks like it can be the beginning stages of septicaemia from both moving stress and ammonia poisoning but it seems pretty minor in the pics. How is it looking now?
