Ive had my BN since January, and he has grown from 1"SL to just about 3"SL. He has lots of bristles: a single row around his snout, and a single row going up the middle of his face. however, one of the bristles on the middle of his face is already forking, and he is now growing bristles to the sides of the row on his face.

what i am wondering is, is it normal for a BN this size to already have this many bristles?

Looks like yours is maturing fast. I think you're doing just fine.:)

cool! so, does that mean it will have more bristles than normal, when its fully grown?

There's no telling for that. It's not easy to tell if the bristles will stop popping up or not while it is still growing. Either way, it must look beautiful. Pics?:)

ill try to get some but he moves around a lot, and when he stops hes in his cave lol.
i might have to resort to holding him to get pics. thats not bad is it?
the only other issue there may be with holding him is... hes got big cheek spines too:grinno:

he looks a bit like that, but i think he's Ancistrus cf. cirrhosus.
im about to post pics in the plec media lounge. could you look at the posted pics and tell me if its a cf. cirrhosus or if its triradiatus? thanks.
