10-11 inches qithin a year is healthy.............Average growth would be 5, maybe 9 inchez at the most within a year................

That would depend entirely on what size this fish was a year ago when you purchased it. Seeing as you left that part out of the equation, and nobody else bothered to ask, I looked it up myself.

Female 5.5 -6 male has to be 6.5-7

So last Dec. when you purchased this male it was approx 6.5-7", now 10 months later it is approx. 10-11".

So to answer your question, yes, that would be considered normal growth by most hobbyists.
