Hi Everyone,

Another question.

I have 2 silver aros, One is around 3 & half months old and another one is 3 months aprox (based on the birthdays told by my LFS)

The elder one is around 6" now and it started showing a green and red shade on the body and the color is totally different from what it was earlier. (See Pic)

is this common among the Silver Aros and i am just panicking? or is it really something serious?

However i am noticing a sudden change in its behavior to the younger one. it has become aggressive. when lights are turned on it does not allow him to swim on the top and chase him towards the bottom of the tank. but when i provide food or lights are turned off, he does not have any problem him swimming on top.

Water conditions are perfect 7 PH, with No Nitrate & Nitrite.

Sounds like typical coloring for a juvi silver aro

The color change is normal.

Extremelly beautyfull... Btw what kind of diat you give to him.
I feed it hikari sticks everyday, and then some shrimp, crickets, superworms, and some hikari massivore on the side. I think its favorite are superworms though.

In the wild, silver arowanas are hardly ever silver in color, not even the adults. The Amazon river is super-rich in all different kinds and bugs/insects, crustaceans, fish, and ect..that help them grow and maintain beautiful colors and form. Thus they retain their natural multi-colors quite well. Even the iris of a wild arowanas eyes are orange/yellow and shine. I think this is even more beautiful than a platinum silver arowana. The only time that wild arowans lose their colors is during the mating/incubation period....wild South America arowanas are the most beautiful and majestic of all arowans.
