Is this normal???!!

i noticed last night that my silver is having this little dark spots....and then this morning some of those dark spots have turned into shiny silver ones.

Is there anything wrong with my silver?....he's been eating great and acting normal.

looks like he is getting beat up. anything else in the tank?
 
im not really an aro guy. but how long is he? I noticed you have a glass heater. right? could be burns.

he's around 7" - 8" now...and yeah i have a glass heater..and i'm thinkin it might be burns too...

Hard to tell by the pix... but I'd say they are missing scales...he's getting spooked and scraping himself on stuff in the tank...3-4 weeks and they'll grow back...try to get some close-ups as clear as you can, and post them...
He looks to be about 5-6" still really young, he'll be OK

yeah i moved the heater to a place where he won't be able to touch it...i saw one of his maneuvers where he turns to the back makes a right turn in between the plant and the heater and in doing so that very spot is exactly on the same position as his burns.

i'll keep an eye out on him...and also i think i need to put in some lunar lights because in the morning i would hear him splashing around the tank and hitting the hood whenever my wife would turn on the room lights and then turn them off once she leaves (around 6am and the room is really dark).
 
Those appear to be missing scales. Get used to this, there will be lots to follow.
