What are the water parameters? Tank size and tankmates? Did you switch on the room lights first? Find out what is causing the fish to react. In this case, do daily water changes until the wound recovers. Make sure to switch on room light first before you try the aquarium lights. The gradual process will prevent the fish from freaking out.
