Is this normal?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think the op is referring to the very light, almost white spots in the centre of some of the rays circular chocolate coloured markings. I'm not a ray man so i don't know if that's normal or not. I'm sure others will put your mind at rest.

How long have you had the ray. If you just recently got it. It' just adjusting to the color of your substrate. I really wouldnt worry as long as it active and eagrly takes food. If it's not eating then I'd worry

I’ve had him for about 2 years. He is very very active playing in bubbles etc BUT not eating much. Maybe he doesn’t like his food. I tried frozen shrimp, pellets etc he only ate love shrimp. He usually loves hikari massivore.

It looks fat and healthy. Try giving it night crawlers I havnt seen any ray refuse those. The dots maybe it's colors changing. I've had plenty of rays that would change as they grew

He hasn’t eaten to my knowledge in a day and I just dropped some food in rushes to t but just spit it out. He has eaten that food for years.
