I have a 180 (6x2x2) with a 40 gallon wet/dry sump and twin 2217 Eheims. In the tank is a 8" Tigrinus. He's a beautiful fish but boring as Hell. Rests all days, plays all night. I'm wanting to add a 12" Black Aro. Is my tank big enough for one for life without having to upgrade? I've got mega filtration and lots of flow with 2 Mag 7's returning water from the sump. Is this an ok sounding tank for these two fishes???

You will eventually have to upgrade when the aro hits 24 or bigger. But it should do for quite some time.

Well the only thing i can say is of the arowanas the O. ferreirai is more nervous than other arowanas. Its is also one of the least territorial. The S. leichardti being the most territoral, it will viciously fight fight with others. I don't tink u will have a fight to the death. I do tink ur beautiful M.tigrinus will be left with some battle scars. I remember when my beautiful S.formosus was attacked by his tankmate for years D.microlepis. My aro lost a scale and it never grew back right. After that everytime i see my aro i see the damaged scale first.
