Sup guys, new guy here and i just bought me a poly. I have been keeping fishes for a while now. The thing is my poly likes to stay at the top where the waters drain into a sump(pictures will make sense :)). It look like hes stuck but, i when i touch him with my hand it seems like he can swim effortlessly away. First time posting so pics may not work lol. the last thing i wanna know is if my poly is a ornate. thanks:)

other info- hes in a 140gallon tank with a 5 inch jardini, some tinfoil barb, 2 eupterus catfish, 2 blood parrots, a jack dempsey bout 6inch

We it looks like an ornate. How long have you had him? He could just be getting use to the tank and smaller bichirs tend to float around the tank more than larger ones. He could also be trying to hide from the other fish in the tank.

Give him a couple of days and some blackworms.. he will be doing fine.. 100% ornate..:)
