I have a 50 gallon with aussie aro, peacock bass, ebjd, 3 clown loaches, and 6 baby indos.THey are all babies as in 1-3 inches and i plan on moving them to a BIG tank when they grow out. It seems like my loaches kind of chase my dats around just the dats and none of the other fish. i was wondering if you guys think it stresses my dats out? here is a video

Fish chasing each other is not your problem. How are your nitrates? Poor water quality is more stressful in the long run than being chased around.

not worried about the long run because i will have a big tank when they grow out..as for now they are all babies and my water is fine

man your mean to your fish. you should conceder a much bigger tank and a hole lot of filtration. expecaly if you want to keep those fish for any more than a year

Wow. They are super tiny! You've got time on that setup for sure! I'd try giving the dats more spots to hide in, maybe break up the tank with more tall decor to break lines of sight.

I've got to admit, that video makes me laugh. I think the loach thinks the dat is a strange loach and is trying to chase it away. Don't know for sure, but it's hilarious.

Ya it will definetely stress them out and any time they are stressed it makes them much more vulnerable to diseases. tank is clearly big enough (for now), but I agree with the suggestion to put some decorations in there. You want to break up line of sight more and hope it minimizes aggression issues.

thanks for the info i plan on putting in a piece of drift wood and more plants

Yeah. You want more tall, tower-like barriers for the dats to swim behind to discourage the chase.

You good with prepping driftwood, know what to expect, how to clean it, etc?
