Im looking for more oscars, and pumped into an ad with two oscars.
But it looks like theyve "grown wrong" or something to that effect..?
Theyre 5.9 inches or so.

Would you buy it?

Doesn't look like it would be that big, unless that is monster 6 in tiger barb in the background. I wouldn't get it. There are lots of great looking o's available out there on the cheap, and this one looks a little deformed.

I think he has nice color just needs to be fed better... might turn out to be a beauty he does look smaller than what was said though... mabye 4.5 inches max...

that is definitely not 6" its about 3.5" looking. tiger oscars are disgustingly common and have a retail value of no more than $5 on juvis

why is it being sold for 25? it looks like its 3" or less.. maybe its the dali lama of oscars or something with that humpy face it has. the green in its eye and the shape of its bone structure makes me believe it is part of an incestuous spawn... god i hate lfs and their contractors who inbreed their fish, its like i know im buying an inferior specimen even if its healthy... its babies could look like boomerangs...

the reason i will only buy a wild caught oscar if i ever get anymore. too many bad experiences with the inbred ones.

Even though oscars are common, its pretty uncommon to have a tank that fits them and the owners dont feed them right, growth staggers, fish gets sick. They try to sell em for 25 dollars as a special specimen =p

who are we talking about btw? and specially inbred you say???lol if not inbred than just flat-out deformed. what does the generalized care of uneducated fishkeepers have to do with a deformed fish for sale though :)

Nevermind =D
I just found it funny that someone sells deformed oscars as a "special specimen". Such as the one in the ad in the top thread.
