i do about 10-15% W/C in my 29GAL every 2-3 days and i got a whisper 20 & fluval 205 hook up too it.

Not over doing it at all, as long as your water parameters are in good shape.

a 7 inch fish in a 29 is a heavy bio load. Its abot time to get a biger tank for the lil guy.

I think you'll be fine with once a week or so, depending on how you tend to feed.

that is good, you can't really overdo it with wc's unless they are drastically affecting the water parameters.

Why go to the 55. Pay the extra and get the 75. The 55 is so limited with its 12 inch depth. And petstores have deals on 75's all the time. I bought my Nature's view in December which included tank, top, light and stand for $309. That extra 6 inches of space from front to back is a HUGE deal....
