I have a 10 gallon FW :banhim::grinno: i just set up(2 weeks ago) its done cycling and i want to know if this is too much? I have a aqueon 10 gal power filter(40 gal/h) and building a 75gph filter:headbang2 and will be doing 50% water changes weekly do you think that is good enough for

6 neon tetras

5-6 cherry barbs

trio of guppies(1.2)

2 corydoras

and 1 mermaid?:grinno:

So tell me what you think (and if i can get that mermaid thing worked out to.:screwy:

For got to mention i will be conbining those 2 filters so i will be 115 gallon/h or roughly 11 turnovers/h

The stock will be fine. How is it that you were able to cycle the tank in only two weeks?

Long two weeks huh?

I have cycled in 5 days with Seachems Stability so its definitely possible. I would do 50% water changes though. Might as well if your using 5 gallon buckets imo...

I have also cycled in under 11 days with excellent parameters. The big help is not so much the chemicals but the transferring of water and bio-media from a healthy tank to the new tank. Plus, I really think living in the tropics helps tremendously (as in the 30+ celius weather).

My current tank was cycled with water, bio-balls, and planted driftwood from a Discus breeder’s tank; took about 16-17 days.
