hi guys. I asked about a month ago the member who is selling this flowerhorn if I could buy a pair from him and he gave me 3 to choose from, none were under $2,000. I thought he was nuts, so I asked how much would it be for a nice male with a large kok, he told me $1,000. I offered $400 for one on his flowerhorns, and he wrote back and said LOL. That guy is very rude, and I do not know how he sells any flowerhorns. Some of you guys know that I just bought a 7" flowerhorn for $150, and it has a bigger KOK, and shows better color, than his so called MP flowerhorns.
 
you all will just have to forgive my ignorance....since I am not into flowerhorns.... ummm what does KOK stand for?

I just had to do a double take when I was surfin through Aquabid and saw a 10" monsterkok

im pretty sure kok doesnt stand for anything, it just somehow became the nickname for the nuchal lump in cichlids.

also, thats not that pricey compared to some flowerhorns ive seen for sale online.
 
It seems overpriced to me. I wouldn't pay 1k for that piece. Body shape is long, not a lot of color. I agree that acea got a better deal on her $150 fish.

KOK is the FH term for a nuchal hump.

pure cichlid = nuchal hump
FH = KOK
 
id pay 50$ tops for a fish like that.
