is this possible

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yes? i have now clue but im going to say the fry will hatch if they pair up

I would think, more then likely, such a cross could produce fry. Though it is my understanding that many BP males are sterile (??).....so of course not from a male that is sterile.

CA cichlids are all very closely related. It is my understanding that pretty much any CA cichlid can be crossed with another CA cichlid and produce offspring. We have already seen Snook X trimac on MFK, so no reason to suppose it couldn't be crossed with most, if not any CA cichlid, and produce offspring. And there are no shortage of examples of BP X various CA cichlid species crosses.

Of course, getting these 2 kinds of cichlids to actually do the deed, may be another question altogether.

Sure why not, seen snokls and trimacs here on MFK.
