So yesterday I dropped off the wife and daughter at the mall for mommy daughter time,anyways heading home by myself I was playing rap and the city is really strict and I feel like their racist if your not white (Burbank)
So I was playing some rap music not to loud not to low in the middle,
I'm on the left lane cop is on the right It didn't bother me as I like to play wat I want not what they want to hear,so he decides to follow me,it didn't bother me,He didn't have his sirens on so I continued,there wasn't any speed limits posted but after following me 7 street lights,he decides to stop me,he asks for my drivers licensce takes a look at it then says" is it valid" I said yes I wouldn't drive if it wasn't,then were are you coming from,me: mall
Him:oh......
Can I see registration I give it to him
He leaves to checks computer then comes back and says well you know why I pulled you over right,I said no not really I wasn't speeding,he says you were going 50 in a 35,I said no I was going 35 on a none posted speed limit street,he stays quite,writes the ticket,,
My concern is
A. He ran my info before he told me the reason why he pulled me over,because I had a speeding ticket 3mnths ago,wich makes me think he wanted info so he can find a reason.
B. He at no point ask for proof of insurance,as the cop that got me wen I was going 65 on a 35 wich I admitted to
C.why did he stop me after 6 lights," I could've killed someone before those lights if I was going 50

And also he didn't write on the ticket wether i had proof of insurance or not,
I need advice because I know I wasn't speeding,it's like they really have nothing to do but pull over people,and it makes me feel like it's a waste of my tax money to pay racist cops that dont do crap,I wish we decide wat we want our tax $ to support,

I dont know about the laws over your side of the pond but sounds like you shouldnt just take that.
 
well with me the cop told me he had me on a speed gun doing 70mph. in the end the cop didnt have a speed gun so if I didnt fight it they would have just had me.
look around and see if you can use his screw ups to show him as racist he is.
 
The officer's actions could have been racially motivated or maybe he just does not like rap music.It wouldn't make him racist if he does or doesn't like it but it sounds as if your music is what got his attention.If I felt I was wrongly targeted then I would go on and contest the ticket and maybe even file a complaint.

Check to see if the ticket has a calabration date for the radar gun if not it has to be thrown out. Might also be good to check with a lawyer to see what options you have. Just not fair that the cops always have the upper hand even if they lie. The cops in my area just look for reasons to screw with you no matter skin color. I wish you luck with with this endevor.

If you fight it you will likely lose and pay even more $$ in court costs. I once got pulled over for speeding in a construction zone, but I was stopped 50' before the 45 mph speed limit sign, took pictures of my car pulled over and the sign way ahead of me, went to court with the pics which were time stamped and judge didn't even consider it, he just asked the cop was I in the construction zone, he said yes, I got an extra 200$ added to my fine....unless they did the paperwork wrong you can't really win...


You could have asked the cop to see the radar printout.... You can always ask for a court date and he may not show.
