Is this pure vieja syn female or a cross

Hi All,

Need some expert inputs. Attaching herewith all my vieja pics. One vieja syn is now around 6inch but can't make out whether it's a male or female nor whether its a pure vieja syn or hybrid. The other older 8inch male as you can see has a small hump so guess its male & not sure whether pure or not. Bigger one always bullies the medium one. And there's always black strips on the medium one. I don't have more than 1 tank, if the medium turns out to be male then aggression problem & i need to give it away. Also its stomach looks a bit swollen. Awaiting your replies, what do i do?
P.S. - The monos & argentea i am giving away soon to my friend to make more room

Tough call here - it doesn't scream hybrid at me, but that spotted pattern is one I haven't seen before on a syn. They can display a broad range of colors though as your pics show. Where did you purchase the fish.

I am leaning toward sub-dominant male too for the sex - I'll need pics of the vent to be certain. I'm inclined to say pure syn, but if its a LFS fish, who knows.

Looks syn to me ive seen them put those stripes on under being mildly picked on constantly and also go almost solid black thats under extreme bullying though or during a brutal fight

Seriously stressed out Syn. All the colors washed out, and stress barring....probably best to put up a temporary divider until you can re home it.
