I have a 135 gallon tank with a crack that runs the entire height of the tank, is it possible to repar it? If it's not possible to repair, would it be possible to buy an entire new glass panel from a glass shop matching the same demisions as the old panel? The tank is 72x18x25.5 at a i/2 thick. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

i would go ahead and buy a brand new piece of the panel and replace the cracked one. I think anything that you repair of glass is to risky. I know its possible to buy a new one from a glass shop you just have to make sure that it matches dimensions properly also the thickness. And then you have a reseal job on your hands but i think it will definitely be cheaper than buying a whole new tank.

If the crack is ruining from the bottom all the way to the top I would not think you could patch it with good integrity due to the seam you will have on the bottom where the cracked glass meets the bottom piece of glass. I would replace the glass instead of risking 135 gallon disaster.

Well not sayin this is the best thing to do but my 180 has a crack from top to bottom I just basically patched the inside..... I took a 2'x2'x3/8" piece of glass centered the crack under it and resealed the whole tank been like that for three year now no leaks. As far as replacing the back that would be the best but will cost alot more the 180 patch doesn't look the best but I just have a large stack of flat rocks infront of the patch so you would never know unless I told ya
