maybe they are now thanks to irresponsible fish keepers. i know there are many south american cichlids and such that can now be found in florida.

Why not share this link with the rest of us? As Jordan already stated, it is likely that the fish have been released by owners who could no longer keep them. Many fish, repltile and birds also have been released by smugglers that are near being caught.

I live down in FL and if we had them they'd only be able to survive in some of the rivers or springs. There's canals everywhere here and I always see odd fish that have been dumped into them by people. I feel bad for those fish though because usually our lakes and canals are really dirty.

do you know if anyone has ever caught an aro or knife or something thats only native to another country in FL?

thats interesting. i would have never thought that fish native to asia and south america would live here in america. but i guess i would be suprised at what lives in these lakes thanks to irresposible fish keepers as jordan said.
