Well i work in a tool shop and i get buckets full of pure white sand blasting sand and i was wondering if there would be any reason why i shouldn't use this sand. I think it would look real sharp and really want to use it as long as there are NO negative effects on my fish. The tank is going to have an EBJD, green terror and some giant dainios so whats everyone's opinion on this

I used the Mt. Lane 100# bag sand in my tank, i think it is for sand blasting. Looks good but is kinda sharp so it's easier to scrach the glass with. Which my turtle has done a little bit.

I've heard of a lot of people buying this stuff and using it in their tanks with no problems.

I would make sure you do a good job of rinsing it before using it in your tank

I am not sure if it is harmful to fish. I am sure someone on here has tried it. Hopefully you will get a response from someone with past experience.

I have pool filter sand in many of my tanks. Interestly enough, the bag specifically says it is not for sandblasting!
