Just noticed this on my glass tank, should I replace the seal? Got this tank second hand a while ago (over a year) but just noticed these dots... Almost looks like it's deteriorated? What causes this?

Look at the actual seam between the two pieces of glass; it's beautiful, virtually perfect. Those little bubbles or bits of grit in the interior bead are just cosmetic. You have nothing to worry about.

Ok thank you. Any idea what causes this though?

It's easy to damage that bead by careless use of a scraper or blade while cleaning algae, but that looks different than this. I would just mark it down to imperfect or slightly sloppy application of the bead when the tank was built.

I used to work for a fellow who manufactured all-glass tanks. He was an absolute wizard with silicone, but even he occasionally produced a bead like this. Just human error.

Ok thanks. Lol was going to go out and buy a new one. Saved me $ and time. Thanks for the review.
