I came home tonight to this glob in my Jaguar pond. Does it look like a sperm glob and if so, what are the odds of the male getting the female pregnant? He has been showing mating signs toward her for over a month it seems like. I did not feed them last night so it can't be a chunk of food. It looked like thin mucous just floating around.

Kinda looks like poo?

looks like the slime coating after feeding the ray earthworms. i notice stuff like this in my tank once in a while, i get annoyed by it hehe. mine aren't old enough to be reproducing so i know it's not that.

if you haven't fed them in a bit, or not earthworms, then i don't know.

Agreed on slime coat, mine too had this after earthworms though - and only once.

Sperm would simply be a milky colour to the water, if anything, it would not be like human sperm in water due to Rays being water based and us only lucky if we get some in a pool!:D
