is this stock alright for a 90 gal?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
In an 90 I would actually go with more. Though good luck on actually getting that ratio on the yellow labs. (IT really doesn't matter.)

also those snails might not last either--my lake malawi cichlids eat snails no matter what size, so i no longer use snails.. you could also use a few more fish..

yea here's what's in my 75g:
1m/4f yellow labs
1m/4f Snow white Socolofis
1m/4f Red zebras
1m/4f Psuedotropheus Lombardio "Kenyi"
2 bristlenose plecs
2 YoYo Botias
1 Angelicus Botia
1 Upside down catfish
You need some more fish, more ahlis or something, but again i dont know how the ahli would go with teh mbuna they can be some what aggressive, but then again so can the ahli, but i have seen it done before.

That sounds about right...you want to leave enough turf for them to take over and defend...not to mention possible future additions...

Yea, you could almost double the numbers, or get another group of mbuna (1 male/3-4 females).

If you get more than 1 Ahli, make sure you only have one male, otherwise youll end up with one anyway.

As for the snails, they will most likely get eaten.

Make sure you are way overfiltered and turning the tank over 13-15 times. (Total GPH of filters/tank size)

Yeah you could have more fish in a 90 gal i would add a couple peacocks.
No peacocks. The mbuna would be too aggressive for them.
