Is this the best (or worst) idea I've ever had?

Upon realizing it will be many years before I can afford a really monster tank, I had a bit of an ephiphany while at Walmart...

Anyone ever used those aboveground pool kits indoors? You can get 15' x 3' pools for 350 bucks. Ok, that was the cheapo version, but you can get better ones up to 2000 grand, which for 5-6 thousand gallons is still cheaper than a tank.

They're supposed to be good for several years and weather resisitant...

That is actually a really great idea. A lot of people have done this and it works great, I just suggest elevating the bottom so moisture is not stuck underneath it.

Those vats are only 300 gallons lol, the smallest pond kit is 3000!

Is Toronto hot allyear round or would you be needing a heater?
just curious!
But I like the idea!!!

Hells no lol, I'd put it in the basement :P

lol i just got back from oakville, toronto and it rained a lot. but usually they have nice weather.

im going to be putting one up for my gar here soon. nothing wrong with it. easy and cheap

This won't be for a couple years lol. I may build a frame out of 2x4s and ply and put pond liner in too. I'm worried if I get something real big (Arapaima is the eventual goal) it's come through the side of the kit pond.
