I noticed these two holes on my flowerhorn head while I was doing my water change today, if these are hex, how can I treat it? Epsom salt?

Is he eating well? Is he pooping out white with what looks like white beads in it? What are your water parameters?

Ok, well is this the same fish that has the cloudy eye? You either have a fish that is very old and is showing signs of his age, your water quality is slipping, or he is suffering from an infection.

Ah ok thank you. I thought flowerhorn could live up to 8 yrs, I got him around Dec. 2016 when he’s only like 2 inches. And yes this fish is the same fish as the cloudy eye. I treated him with malefix as well as 25% water change daily.

Is that something I need to worry about? Hopefully it’s not dropsy
Not a good sign. That’s why I don’t want to keep fh anymore. Their genetics are so weak so they usually die nowadays within 5 years. They have weak immune systems and they sometimes start to look ugly after a couple years. I used to be be obsessed with them but why spend so much on a genetically weak hybrid when you can get half a dozen wild caught cichlids from Tangled up in cichlids or COTA. Just my opinion atm.
