Is this worth buying??/

My local petsmarts are having a sale pon the following cichlids


firemouth
jag
jack dempsey

All for $2 each. I thought about buying a few and growing them out and then trading them in for credit for various supplies. Is this a good idea or no? I was gonna buy either 2 jacks or a jag.

I would just do the JD's and the fire mouths......depending on the size of your tank.

Well next weekend i finally get my 55 back up after all the remodeling was done to my house. I have a clown knife, jade goby, palmas bichir. They are in a 20 gallon long. The ck probly wont stay for life. I have a 150 for the future and in my fiances 30 gallon i have a black ghost knife too thats only 3 or 4 inches. I have 2 firemouths that will go in the 20 gallon long for a while

LOOKING FOR REASON WHY OR WHY NOT. I think it would be a good idea. If not then no biggy i wont do it. Remember I'm not keeping the fish.

My setups i have include

55 then being moved to 150
-jade goby
-palmas bichir
-clown knife-probly will trade when it gets around 15 inches
-black ghost knife
-Maybe a golde sev thats in my girls 30 gallon

Don't do it, get rid of the CK now he will be to large very soon and be tough to get rid of.
If you got those fish and grew them out there would be hardly any profit if any, they are all very common.

Yea its probly not worth it. But im not getting rid of the ck. For every ck thats get 20+ inches there are dozens that only grow to 15-18
