I just picked this gourami from my lfs and was wondering if someone can tell me if its actually going to get as big as a giant gourami. It was marked as a giant but one of the workers said it was a dwarf giant gourami. Please help!

its a giant never heard of dwarf giant the name kind of contradicts its self

to me, it looks like what petsmart calls "giant gouramis"

that is Colisa fasciata. It is called Giant Gourami because it is the largest of the dwarf gourami.

thats not a young GG. Young GG have a sharper face and mouth. that one looks like a DwarfG or one of the other types...

there are two gourami known as giant gourami.
one is the real giant gourami which gets big.
then there colisa fasciata, which is just a dwarf gourami.
