can i keep a tiger lotus plant with jack dempsies, parrot fish, synodontis, bala shark, and giraffe catfish? they are from Africa so they are probably around african cichlids, syno's and giraffe cats in the wild? ive succesfully kept ludwigia, duckweed, anubias, and echinodorous with these fishes. the tank is of sufficient size to house tiger lotus. substrate is 3" with gravel, sand, and that plant substrate (fluorite thats it!) whose name i cant remember.
the other plants i was gonna buy were
crypts
moss
apongeton
anubias

well i know the featherfin doesnt care about plants. my book says their plant friendly and ive seen them in planted tanks on youtube living peacefully. the parrot fish does hate thick plants though. sometimes when i forget to feed him he pecks at the stems of the echinodorous like he's frusturated. the bala shark likes to eat duckweed but it grows fast enough to sustain his hunger. somebody has been uprooting the echinodorous though my guess is either the parrot fish, dempsies, or the giraffe catfish. nobody cares about the ludwigia though cuz its not thick and they can swim through it.
