Yes. I make sure I never feed enough at once and make sure I scatter the food so he can't do it though - he's too slow

How about less food more often? Most fish can digest a small meal within an hour and a half.

Mine does this as well. It will stuff pellets and krill in it's mouth till they are hanging out. I moved it to my eartheater tank and now he only gets bloodworms and cichlid crisps so its not as much of a problem. But I have to thaw the blood worms or he well swallow the cube and not let anyone else get any.

Funny that you mentioned your texas doing this peathenster. I have a female Escondido that eats like nothing else I have ever seen.
