is your sump loud/messy?

My frankenfilter is loud, but my others are quiet and easy.

my sump was loud, but then i got a quite one pump, very quite, just make a cover for it, if not it will be louder and definitely smellier

Your mother said this? or was the person supposed to be an equal like a girl friend or wife? If its the second one. Then save your self years of unhappiness and cut it now!--------------anything to do with fish is messy compared to not having them at all. There will be times when some water gets on the floor. And there will be times when they look bad. And there will be times when they are loud to certain people. Get over it, stuff happens
