A friend found me a 50 gallon tank for 33.60!!! Ishmael the leopard sailfin can finally move to a new home! I'm so excited. the 26gal bowfront was fine when we brought him home but after a year he's reached the 8+ inch mark. the new tank is 18inches wide and 36 inches long. He'll be able to turn and grow and terrorize his cherry barb friends. It's going to have liverock, live plants, a special glass hood and we're getting rid of the kitchen table so he is farther from the traffic zone. does anyone have any advice from experience of setting up big tanks that I need to know? And does anyone have ideas about how to make his house a home? He's had 3 moves that i know of so far so he's a real trooper and he loves to curl up in corners. I don't care what the cichlid guy from the other site says, my pleco is not a decoration, he's part of the family and his needs come first.
