Lately i have been looking around stores and aquabid looking at alot of rays just for kicks. i am pretty set on my collection and they are doing great. but i have noticed alot of rays, particularly marbleds spots are demorphed and incomplete. and its not just 1 or 2 spots but an generous amount on their back. Im sure most of everyone who buys marbleds buy they look at their design pattern to make or break the purchase. Some of the recent rays i got in have spotting issues. Could this be an issue thats going on in their natural environment? or possible hybridizing?

Most of the rays we see are captive bred rays. Some wild caught rays(especially marbles and pearls), look almost nowhere near as fancy as their captive bred counterparts. It's just what they look like normally. But we've line bred them to get clear patterns and bright spots.
