Istlanums

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Both you and ewok. . .

They have been really rare lately... I think there's some habitat destruction going on in Mexico, and they're not really a "mainstream" fish so wholesalers don't breed them. They'd definately be worth getting back into the hobby though.

I have seen them here and there, it seems that grammodes are becoming more popular and overshadowing them.

possibly... i've seen grammodes becoming more popular for sure

on a slight tangent - gourami that is the REDDEST red texas i have ever seen... is that beast yours?

Very cool fish. I have a group of four that I just moved to a 70 gallon tonight. They're pretty young, but my male has been growing at a very fast rate in the last 6 weeks, he's 4" and my others are 2.5"-3" each. His colors are looking nicer by the day. It looks like he's taking interest in the larger female, hopefully soon I'll have some fry.
First pic. was taken 12/5, the second on 12/15.

1fatdovii...... thanks for selling those Istlanums to me, I'll come get them when I pick up that Dovii pair we discussed. We'll keep it on the D.L since Ewok will probably try to out bid me. ;) After Christmas for sure.
