isulating big tank infront of window?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
if you could build a stand that ecloses the whole tank except for the front you could use some of that pink foam boards u can cut. its like 1 inch thick. or if you can deal with the look just glue it up to the sides and back lol

put one a those rena filters in it so that the heat circulates and that it keeps the filtered water warm. and also keep the filters in your tank that u have now just for safe measure. and u can always shut them off if it gets too hot.

get a slab of the insulation board from homedepot ($10 for a 4x8 sheet).. just cut it to size and use some funtack to mount it....

or get yerself some curtains..

They have window plastic you can put another air space between the window and the plastic with...have you considered moving the tank?

Sheets of polystyrene fitted to exact size as the window, layered very thick I think it would work.

Fill the window up with cotton or wool then close? O.o

I'm out of ideas.
